SUM offers various types of waste management solutions
For those with individual bins:
- To have your bin emptied, you need to place it outside by 7:00 a.m. on the correct collection day.
- The handle should face outward.
- Remember to clear away snow or remove any other obstacles so that the waste collector has easy access to the bin.
- Subscribe to our app to receive notifications before the waste collection truck arrives.

A residence with an underground waste solution?
- In that case, you don’t need to worry about the collection time.
- To open the hatches on these containers, you’ll need an electronic key. This can be obtained from the previous owner or the head of the housing association. If necessary, you can contact us at SUM.
- Remember to check the sorting labels on the containers and dispose of the correct waste type in the right container.
- If the container is full or not functioning for some reason, do not place your waste on the ground. This is considered littering and is illegal. Instead, contact us as soon as possible so we can resolve the issue.

If you have a cabin or holiday home in one of our owner municipalities, you must either dispose of your waste at a recycling point or have a separate agreement for bin collection.
The recycling points are for everyday waste generated at the cabin.

Hazardous waste and items that are too large for the container hatch must be delivered to one of our recycling stations. As a cabin owner, you can dispose of waste at any of our recycling stations.

• Independent living space with kitchen and bathroom
• Studio apartment
• Up to three rooms with shared kitchen and bathroom (four rooms would therefore count as two fee-paying units).
If it is discovered that you have not declared rental units, you can expect to pay for previous years."
